Postdoctoral Fellowship Autoimmunity and Tolerance
Postdoctoral positions available spring and summer 2010, to study effector and regulatory mechanisms in autoimmune disease. Emphasis is on events driving Th1, Th17 and T-regulatory responses, using models of autoimmune uveitis and encephalomyelitis. Immunological mechanisms are studied at the cellular and molecular level using methods such as multiplexed ELISA, ELISPOT, Real-Time PCR, flow immunocytometry, and DNA microarrays. Concepts and approaches are generalizable to other autoimmune diseases. For additional information, go to http://www.nei.nih.gov/intramural/imm-reg.asp.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree, strong background in molecular and cellular immunology, and less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience.
